Jill Scott was born on April 4, 1972 on the 4th of April 1972 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania to her mother Joyce Scott. The family of Jill Scott consisted of her grandmother and mother. Scott is an all-only child. Scott was a graduate of the Philadelphia High School for Girls. After that, she attended Temple University. Scott studied secondary school education while also working at two positions. The hope was to become an English secondary school teacher. She had a dream of becoming an English teacher at high school was shattered when she dropped out of high school.
